I spent 4+ years designing physical environments.
Now I focus on how people navigate digital ones using principles of systems thinking and intuitive navigation.

Soumya appeared to take the lead on the interview and testing portions of the project. She consistently represented user insights with clarity and confidence, and the results shared from those sessions were strong and meaningful. Her contributions helped ensure that the design work was informed by real user perspectives, and she was able to clearly communicate findings in a way that supported thoughtful decision-making. While I was not present for the team’s internal working sessions, Soumya’s presence in discussions and the quality of the research outcomes reflected strong ownership and a well-rounded approach to the work.

About me

Soumya Jain.
UI/UX Designer.

Hi, I am Soumya, a UI/UX Designer with 4+ years of experience in architectural and interior design. I started my career shaping how people move through physical spaces and now apply that same thinking to digital ones.

Whether Im working on a floor plan or a user flow, Im thinking about hierarchy, wayfinding, friction, and the lived experience of navigating a system. I lead with research and analysis, looking beyond the surface to understand what people actually need, not just what they say they want. Im intentional about designing experiences that respect users time, attention, and agency.

What I bring from architecture to UX

  • Systems thinking and spatial reasoning

  • Designing for constraints and real-world tradeoffs

  • Clear hierarchy, navigation, and wayfinding

  • Comfort with critique, iteration, and ambiguity

  • User advocacy grounded in context rather than assumptions

Im currently seeking an entry-level or junior UI/UX role where I can continue learning and contribute a cross-disciplinary perspective to product teams.
